BrightPay Connect - struggling to get your clients on board? Here's what you can say to convince them

Let’s set the scene: You’re working in a very established payroll bureau. You have lots of lovely clients whose lives you strive to make easier. You are very smart and use BrightPay payroll software to process your client’s payroll. BrightPay has this amazing add-on called BrightPay Connect and you can’t wait to tell your clients about it - it's a real game-changer! But no one will give you the time of day. They think you’re just trying to push something on them that they don’t need and they cut you off. You cry yourself to sleep at night.

Well never fear for I am here to give you all the tools necessary to get your clients on board. It’s not so much of a “sales pitch” rather than a “life saving pitch”. So what do they need to know? What’s going to make them see the light? Here’s what you tell them.

Not only can BrightPay help you by automatically backing up your payroll data to the cloud, but it also doubles up as a self-service portal for all of your clients and their employees to access payroll documents (payslips, P45s, P60s), HR documents (contracts of employment, staff handbooks etc.) and request leave by using of the employee app that can be downloaded on any smartphone. Essentially, by using BrightPay Connect, your clients don’t need to waste money on a dedicated and often clunky HR system to monitor their employees’ HR needs. Plus, the HR system will feed through to you, the bureau. You can see all employee leave without the need for the client to provide this information to you making their life a little easier!

With regards to documents, not only does BrightPay Connect allow employees to view their payslips and payroll documents, the client (or their HR manager) can also upload any resource or document and distribute it to their employees. So this can be used for remote training or changes to policies etc. It also means that employees have all of their important documents in one place and can access them 24/7 from anywhere that’s connected to WIFi - so if they were applying for say, a mortgage, they have all they need at their fingertips! 

The other amazing feature that benefits both you and your clients is the Client Entry and Payroll Approval feature. Clients can easily and securely enter their employees’ hours onto the BrightPay Connect online client dashboard. Additions and deductions that have been set up by you in the payroll software can also be selected by the client. All of the information included in the Payroll Entry Request (payments, additions, deductions and new starters) will seamlessly flow through to the bureau’s portal, ready for payroll processing. The Payroll Approval Request allows you to securely send your clients a payroll summary before the payroll is finalised.
