On Monday 11th December, Lifecycle will host its first live webinar, updating accountant members on revised Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Regulations since the implementation of the EU 4th Directive on 26th June.

Free to attend and qualifying for one hour of CPD, this live stream follows on from Lifecycle’s series of AML seminars in May.

Lifecycle’s live webinar, which will be delivered by tax expert and author Steve O’Neill who will examine what the introduction of this new European AML legislation means for accountants, the changes we have seen and those that are still to come.

Agenda points include:

  • What's new
  • Update on policies, controls and procedures
  • Staff screening requirements
  • Criminal Finances Act
  • The new corporate offence of 'a failure to prevent the facilitation of tax evasion'
  • The proposed new supervisory regime for professional bodies

Lifecycle’s Rik Heap said: “Accountants are at risk from potential clients who are in a position to launder money or handle illicit funds, so it’s crucial that they keep fully up to date and compliant with the changes.

“By attending this webinar, accountants will be able to identify any potential weaknesses in their existing procedures whilst getting advice on new policies that may be required.”

Register now for the free live webinar on Monday 11th December from 12pm – 1pm.
