m-hance Social Business is the only ESN application to be shortlisted for product of the year

Innovative business software solutions provider, m-hance, has been shortlisted in the 2013 British Finance Awards. m-hance is a finalist in the ‘Software Product of the Year’ category for its integrated enterprise social networking (ESN) application, m-hance Social Business, which is the only solution of its kind in this awards category. The winners will be announced at a ceremony which will take place on 6 March 2013 at the Millennium Mayfair hotel in central London.

The inaugural British Finance Awards recognise individuals, teams and businesses that have demonstrated outstanding success and innovation over the last twelve months. The awards ceremony will assemble an exclusive audience of senior financial professionals within UK business and the public sector to celebrate excellence in the finance profession.

Andrew Hayward, Managing Director of m-hance, states, “We are delighted to have reached the final for this leading industry accolade against such strong competition. This is further proof that finance professionals are becoming increasingly receptive to how ESN technology can cut costs, increase productivity and deliver a tangible return on investment across businesses, as well as adding significant value to their own overstretched finance departments.”

m-hance Social Business (mSB) is an internal collaboration tool that dynamically connects people, content and back-office systems in a unified solution. By providing out-of-the-box connectivity to financial management, CRM, SharePoint and other SQL and Oracle based applications, employees can easily access, comment on and share valuable knowledge to drive more profitable communications. mSB can be deployed on premise or as a private hosted managed solution, providing flexibility and security over company data.

Key benefits of m-hance Social Business for finance professionals include:

  • Increases productivity by an average 2% per user providing efficiency savings ranging from £70,000 per year (based on 100 users) to £350,000 (based on 500 users)
  • Enables finance teams to be perceived as trusted advisors
  • Helps to reduce costly financial mistakes
  • Reduces ‘push reporting’ to allow more time to be spent on strategic activities
  • Moves systems of record to systems of engagement

Hayward comments, “By seamlessly bringing together an organisation’s core back-office systems, mSB provides a secure platform to reduce email inefficiency and knowledge silos by only feeding data that is relevant to individual employees.  This enables finance professionals to add greater strategic value to their business by improving how they share and act on information received from other departments so that they can quickly address potential issues before they arise.”

Hayward adds, “By significantly reducing the amount of time spent on answering queries and processing administrative tasks by up to two days each month, mSB also frees up finance professionals to spend more time on value adding activities, such as reducing debtor days and tightening credit control procedures which can provide a rapid and measurable return on investment.”
