FreeAgent adds new estimate options to platform to help clients win more work

FreeAgent, voted the UK’s number one small business accounting software provider, has released another product update this week which gives small business owners greater flexibility when creating estimates in the software. When small business clients have their sights set on new work, the detail they include on their estimate could mean all the difference between them winning and losing a job.

To help with this, FreeAgent has added a new option to its platform that allows businesses to create estimates that exclude the VAT amount from the totals displayed.

VAT exclusive estimate example

When clients create or edit an estimate in FreeAgent they will see a new option to ‘Include VAT in totals’. If a client sets  this to ‘No’, FreeAgent will add ‘+ VAT’ to the estimate total and won’t display the VAT amount. The estimate will still show that VAT will be added, but it means that the total won’t look quite as intimidating to the client’s prospective customer.

With the ability to produce VAT-exclusive estimates in FreeAgent, accountants’ small business clients will be able to compete more effectively in their markets and potentially win more work.
