Xero’s goal is to make life easier for you, your practice, and your small business clients, but we also know that there's a lot to get your head around when using cloud accounting software. 

In order to help you and your practice get the most out of Xero, here are key three facts you may not have realised about the platform.

We make moving clients to Xero as stress-free as possible

It’s understandable that many accountants and bookkeepers may feel a sense of trepidation when moving clients to new software, with the assumption this will be costly and time consuming. 

Thankfully, this is not the case with Xero, which has free-of-charge migration solutions available, designed to make the process as efficient as possible. 

You can use Movemybooks, for example, for more straight-forward migrations – allowing you to migrate up to two years’ of historic data in a few simple steps. 

If you have more complex or bespoke conversion projects, Xero’s Partner Consulting team, made up of qualified accountants from practice and industry, can guide you through them. They can help you set your clients up on Xero, and handle the heavy lifting.

With this support, migrating multiple clients can be a straightforward, painless process. 

Xero software is suitable for all kinds of businesses

We know your role requires you to meet the needs of clients of all shapes and sizes, and you need a platform that can do the same. Thankfully, Xero delivers this flexibility. 

When working with smaller clients, you can add them to Xero with Xero Cashbook and Ledger. Our cashbook product is designed for clients who use spreadsheets and don’t need invoicing, while our ledger is a perfect solution for clients on yearly manual records. We also have a plan that caters to those who do and don’t need VAT reporting. 

These plans are available exclusively to those of you in practice as part of our Partner Programme, with practice staff in control of the accounts but able to grant clients access to view data and reconcile transactions.
