A common frustration for clients is chasing payment from their customers. Even with an organised system and dates on their invoices (and their customers’ best intentions), they may often find invoices become overdue and the delay can have a knock-on effect on their cashflow.

Luckily, FreeAgent integrates with a number of payment solutions that can make getting paid a breeze. Here’s an overview to help get you up to speed.

Which payment solutions does FreeAgent integrate with?

Meet FreeAgent's fantastic four - GoCardless, PayPal, Stripe and Tyl. They have all teamed up with FreeAgent to offer all-in-one invoicing and payments – so they can do the heavy lifting and give your clients one less thing to worry about. Let’s take a closer look to see how they can help.

Save precious time with Direct Debits

If your clients send recurring invoices, integrating FreeAgent with GoCardless allows them to set up a Direct Debit mandate with their customers so they can automatically collect payments. Direct Debit mandates can save your clients from having to rinse and repeat the invoice and payment process each month.

They can also set FreeAgent to automatically mark invoices as paid when GoCardless pays into their bank account saving them (and you!) time from another admin task. Meanwhile, their customers don’t have to keep an eye out for an invoice and then transfer a payment. It’s a win, win.

Delight all with one-click payments

When it comes to getting paid on time, clients can add a PayPal, Stripe or Tyl payment link to their invoices to allow their customers to pay with one click.

Then, they can automatically send emails to their customers when they create new invoices and with one click of a button, their customers can enter their debit or credit card details - saving them from the faff of a bank transfer.

If your clients need to regularly send invoices of similar amounts to their customers, they can use custom invoice templates and an integrated payment link. Stripe even offers a little bonus feature to allow clients to customise their checkout.

Keep up with payments when it’s all go

Being self-employed is a busy business. With a payment solution integration, your clients can send their invoices from anywhere via the FreeAgent mobile app

Their invoice may hit their customer’s inboxes while they’re on the move too. With a payment link, customers can then easily pay securely as soon as they’re ready. Stripe even includes Apple Pay and Google Pay as checkout options to make it even more convenient for your clients to get paid.

Automation to keep the cash flowing

It can be a challenge for your clients to stay on top of business finances, especially if they hop between onsite jobs. While FreeAgent can help them manage their expenses and keep up with their ingoings and outgoings, PayPal and GoCardless can boost that process by automatically reconciling the invoices paid via their integration - giving them more cashflow clarity.
