We’re living in a digital world, with an astonishing range of data accessible online. The downside to this, is the frustrated rage that comes with trying to remember passwords for absolutely everything.
It’s why we, dedicated to frustration-free bookkeeping, took a look at the sign in process for Pandle Mobile users. We realised that once users were signed in to Pandle Mobile using their account details, they wanted a fast, convenient way to re-enter the software.
So now, in addition to our (bug-fixed) PIN entry login, we’re delighted to announce our new biometric login options for Pandle Mobile. Ta-da!
Touch ID and Face ID Login
This new Pandle Mobile feature allows users with Android (and some older Apple devices) to use the fingerprint sensor on their device as a login for Pandle. Users with newer Apple devices can use Face ID to sign in, too.
Setting up Biometric ID login for Pandle Mobile is quick and easy, either on first sign in or later from the Settings menu.
To set up a quick log in method users will be asked to enter their email address and password, and then select a quick login in method. Selecting a biometric login method (Touch ID or Face ID) will replace any previous PIN code logins that might already be set up.
Users select ‘Enable Touch ID’ to use the fingerprint sensor on their device, or ‘Enable Face ID’ to use Apple’s facial recognition software when logging in to Pandle Mobile.
Once a Biometric Login ID has been created, Pandle Mobile will prompt users for this method each time the app is reopened.
To protect user data, logging out of the app (rather than simply closing it) will reset the quick login method.
We've also fixed some bugs that we know were causing problems for our Pandle Mobile users, specifically where PIN login details weren’t being stored once the app was closed. Users were being asked for their username and password each time they opened the app, even if they hadn’t actually logged out. We’re glad to say that this problem has now been resolved!
Dashboards for Pandle Mobile
Quick and easy retrieval of business financial reports is essential in understanding exactly how a business is performing. We know users need to be able to do this on the move, which is why we’ve added a Dashboard to Pandle Mobile, just like we have on our web app.
Now, Pandle Mobile users can see their account balances, sales performance, Profit & Loss and cash flow information, all from their Dashboard.
Our current Pandle Mobile users will also notice that we have decided to drop the descriptions from the bottom menu bar, to tidy up and simplify the interface. We hope you like it!
