With the Job Retention Scheme due to finish on 31 October 2020, a new support packed new Job Support Scheme (JSS) was announced by the government in September. It will operate from 1 November 2020 and will last for six months until the end of April 2021. 

The JSS is designed to support businesses who are facing lower deamnd over the winter months due to Covid-19, to retain their employees in work on reduced hours instead of making them redundant.
