Lifecycle’s latest programme of CPD seminars is preparing to tour the UK from 5th March.

There’s still time for accountants to book their place and learn more about the latest legacy tax avoidance scheme legislation and what it means for their clients.

HMRC have been given greater powers to pursue users of such schemes over recent years - successfully issuing APNs and Follower Notices to collect significant sums. Further changes are imminent, with the new Loan Charge legislation due to be introduced on 5th April 2019.

Practical and informative - as well as free of charge for Lifecycle members - the seminars will be delivered by tax expert and guest speaker, Chris O’Hara. He’ll be joined by insolvency and legal specialists from Leonard Curtis Business Solutions Group - providers of the Lifecycle accountancy network – who will give a general update on HMRC activity, policy and legislative changes to tackle historic tax avoidance schemes.

They will also look at the settlement, restructuring and legal options available to clients - whether that’s individuals or companies - who have used such schemes to mitigate tax.

Spanning Glasgow to Southampton, Lifecycle is hosting the 13 sessions as a combination of breakfast and afternoon events. Each will qualify for 1.5 hours CPD.
