Lifecycle’s webinar on legacy tax avoidance schemes is now live
For those accountants who were unable to attend Lifecycle’s most recent CPD seminar tour - on the latest legacy tax avoidance scheme legislation and what it means for their clients - the webinar is now live and free to watch.
Its upload comes prior to the introduction of the new Loan Charge legislation and examines HMRC’s increased powers to pursue users of legacy tax schemes in recent years - successfully issuing APNs and Follower Notices to collect significant sums and, crucially, bringing in the Loan Charge on 5th April 2019.
This one-hour webinar looks at some of the key issues arising from the new legislation and features tax expert and guest speaker, Chris O’Hara, along with Julien Irving and James Thompson - insolvency and legal specialists from Leonard Curtis Business Solutions Group.
They provide a latest update on HMRC activity, policy and legislative changes to tackle historic tax avoidance schemes. They also look at the settlement, restructuring and legal options available to clients - whether that’s individuals or companies - who have used such schemes to mitigate tax.
