Our latest new features make it easier for you to work in Bokio as an accountant! You can now create custom accounts and check VAT Returns quickly.

Create custom accounts

Now you can add custom accounts to Bokio’s chart of accounts. Right now, you can use these accounts when you record manual journal entries, set up payment accounts, set up bank feeds, edit journal entries and set up opening balances. You can also view them in your reporting.

Review VAT Returns

When you do your client’s bookkeeping in Bokio, we generate an automated VAT Return for Making Tax Digital which you can submit to HMRC in just a few clicks.

When you review a VAT Return before submission, you can now click on an information icon next to each box. You can see a breakdown of all the journal entries that make up the total on that VAT box. This allows you to ensure that no transactions have been omitted or duplicated. You can also export this to Excel to dig deeper or to be sent to HMRC for VAT investigations.

Practice Manager

We’ve created a useful tool to make it easier for you to work with multiple clients in Bokio. Now you can easily see your client list, control permissions for multiple accountants in the same practice and start a company on behalf of a client.

If you’re already an accountant working in Bokio you can move your existing clients to Practice Manager. If you want to start using Bokio, you’ll automatically have access to Practice Manager when you sign up as an accountant.
