New home for Intuit after strong 2012

Intuit is moving its U.K. and European headquarters to new offices in Victoria, London.

The planned move in mid-2013 follows an outstanding year for the company in the U.K. with record sales for QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online and doubling its staff. Staffing includes a newly formed on-shore customer support team.

“Intuit is seeing strong small business customer growth in the U.K.,” said Mark Little, U.K. managing director for Intuit. “We are expanding our QuickBooks portfolio, innovating with cloud and mobile solutions and recently announced the pilot of Intuit Pay, an easy, secure and inexpensive way to accept card payments anywhere.

“With the new headquarters, we are creating a world-class workspace for our growing marketing, technology, customer care and financial services teams to deliver amazing product experiences for small businesses and accounting professionals in the U.K. and beyond.”

The Victoria office will also act as Intuit’s European headquarters to support the regional expansion of QuickBooks Online, the world’s No. 1 cloud accounting software with more than 1.3 million paying users.

Commenting upon the support provided to Intuit by the U.K. government, Little said, “London is a natural home for a technology business of our size and stature. The government’s vision of positioning London as a leading tech centre makes us confident that this location will help drive our growth plans in Britain and Europe. UK Trade and Investment has been extremely supportive in offering their assistance through this process and beyond.”

Helen Moore, vice consul, UKTI San Francisco, said, “The San Francisco team of UKTI  helped Intuit explore the drivers and incentives new locations might offer, then involved London and Partners to provide data and access to London’s talent base. Together UKTI and L&P will continue to support Intuit outreach and recruitment needs over the longer term.”
