AIA was pleased to attend the PQ Magazine Awards 2014 on Monday 27 January. The annual awards honour the people and organisations who are at the 'grass roots' of the accountancy profession: the colleges and lecturers who are ensure that the accountants of the future receive the highest standards and quality of learning; and the part-qualified and newly-qualified accountants who work so hard and make many sacrifices in order to become qualified accountants. The PQ Awards recognises their hard work and provides the opportunity to celebrate their achievements.
For the second year, AIA has sponsored the awards, and AIA President, Les Bradley presented the Accountancy Personality of the Year Award to Shaun Robertson, Head of Learning at ICAEW and Aaron Etingen, Executive Chairman at London School of Business & Finance (LSBF). The winners were selected by a judging panel, comprising Professor Prem Sikka (University of Essex), Nicky Burke (AAT), Peter Stewart (CIMA) and Kath Haines (CABA).
