Reduced pricing, FreeAgent integration and new features

Welcome to our new round up of recently added features and updates.

AML pricing

For all practices based in the UK, we are happy to announce that we will be providing AML checks at a new reduced price of £2.80 per check. This is with immediate effect, so on your next invoice the checks will be charged at the new rate. Each check includes ID check + PEPs check + sanctions check.

FreeAgent integration

We will soon be making some improvements to our integration with FreeAgent.

For those of you who haven’t tried out this integration yet - you can simply turn it on in Senta by going to your Settings page and switching on FreeAgent.

The integration allows you to do:

  1. Easy syncing of clients from FreeAgent to Senta: Save double keying data by importing clients, contacts, dates and other data from FreeAgent into Senta.
  2. Get access to FreeAgent data right inside Senta: You can see clients' reports, balances, timeline items from within Senta – P&L and Balance Sheet, for any period, along with full trial balance data.
  3. Discover extra facts about your clients: Senta will add key business ratios from your clients' data.

FreeAgent will be running a webinar on Wednesday 2nd October, where we will introduce the integration and show a quick run through and demo of how to get things set up in both FreeAgent and Senta. 

FreeAgent will discuss key deadlines coming up for practices, and then we will share with you what we are seeing as best practice for workflow and communications with respect to each of these deadlines. And you can ask us as many questions as you want!

New features

“Pivotal dates” have become “job dates”

To try to make the dates system for jobs and services as clear as possible, “pivotal dates” have undergone a transformation, and will now be known as “job dates”.

Any reference to a pivotal date within Senta will now show as a job date instead, and we are working through our knowledge base to ensure any guides and videos have been updated in line with this. However, if you spot any references to job dates anywhere in the knowledge base, just give us a shout and we’ll make sure to change them.

And don’t worry, if you have been using the {{job.pivotaldate}} placeholder in any emails, you can continue to use this, although we’d recommend using {{}} for any new email tasks you set up.

Client portal folders

You asked and we listened - client folders are now available for testing in the new client portal. Clients will be able to view any folders that contain documents that are visible to them, and they can even view the contents of multiple folders at once by ticking to select all, or just a selection.

This feature is available on-request - please contact [email protected] to have this turned on for your site. As this is still in testing, please don’t hesitate to point out any bugs to us!

Bulk document download

This new feature allows you to quickly and easily download a zip file containing a selection of documents and folders, from the documents tab on the client page. Just tick to select the items you want to download, and select “download as zip” from the more actions menu.

New service tabs now add to client pages instantly

Whenever you add new services to a client page, we now make it really clear whether any extra details need to be added for the client. Any tabs that need to be filled in will instantly add to the client page when you select the service, and will be labelled as “new”.

Services placeholders

If you want to pull a list of services offered to a client into an email, or when generating a letter, we have added in a new set of placeholders to allow you to do so. This will also include key service information such as sales terms and the sales description, if you have filled in these fields on the service settings.

API documentation
