With the latest news on coronavirus (COVID-19) showing a progression towards a “significant” spread, we wanted to update our customers with some advice on keeping their business running should their offices close.

Coronavirus in the UK

The risk to the public from coronavirus has been raised to moderate by the UK Chief Medical Officers. The NHS information page currently advises that “most people can continue to go to work, school and other public places” (please visit the NHS information page here for updated information).

To check if you need help, you can access the NHS 111 online coronavirus service here.

Self-isolation means that you stay away from other people. It means staying at home, not going to work, school or public places, and not using public transport or taxis. You will also need to ask others for help with errands, use food delivery services, and try to avoid visitors to your home. The self-isolation period is up to 14 days.

What BTCSoftware customers can do

For our Solution Cloud customers, we advise that each laptop with Solution Suite products installed should be checked to ensure that it is running the latest version of the software.

  • Open the software and log in.
  • Go to Help on the top toolbar.
  • Click on Check for Updates

You should also check that you have enough licenses to cover all staff who will need remote access to your database. Please give us a call on 0345 241 5030 if you’re not sure and we’ll check for you. We can add extra users for £20 +VAT each.
