UK Tax and Accounting software house TaxCalc has revealed significant growth in its latest usage statistics – demonstrating that its combination of intuitive, easy-to-use software, a three-year price cap guarantee and UK-based support is still a winning formula.

Over the last three years:

  1. The number of accounting firms using TaxCalc’s tax return production software has grown by 16%
  2. The number of Self Assessments filed by those firms has jumped by 29%
  3. The number of Corporation Tax returns has increased by a full 48%

And when it comes to the upgraded Accounts Production product, the growth in sets of accounts filed electronically is even more pronounced, with 108% growth over the three years to date (28% in the last year alone).

Growth seems to be being fuelled by the twin effects of smaller firms finding the functionality they need for a price they want to pay, combined with an influx from larger firms who are finding that the five and six-figure sums they had been used to paying could be reduced by (typically) 60%.

The other driver of growth is the ability to take advantage of the Cloud through TaxCalc’s innovative CloudConnect® solution which hosts the TaxCalc database in the Cloud, but leaves the complex processing to the desktop. This eliminates the annoying latency that many users of browser-based solutions complain about.  One-third of TaxCalc customers currently take advantage of CloudConnect®

Of all the great things we’ve achieved in the last three years, what I am most proud of is our 97% customer retention rate. When customers renew in those numbers we are confident that we’ve achieved the levels of excellence that we strive for.
