The Onkho Free Plan Explained

‘And yes, there is such a thing as a free lunch!’

In recent weeks, we have taken a number of phone calls from accountants and bookkeepers who are interested in pursuing the Onkho free plan. The invitation to use our new software for free is causing some to query whether there’s a catch to the offer and although one of the most famous quotes in history is, ‘There's no such thing as a free lunch, ’ on this occasion, we can assure you that there is! 

The old adage refers to the idea that it is impossible to get something for nothing.  However, we think that getting off spreadsheets for workflow or deadline management is the first step to getting ready for the challenges of Making Tax Digital. We want to help you by giving you (and startup practices) that first step for free. We also think that after that, you’ll upgrade to build the practice of the future! So yes, workflow with Onkho is absolutely free!

Our free plan includes pre-built workflows, so it is ‘child’s play’ to create tasks, plan, allocate and track deadlines. It’s just a case of adding a smart service to a client and everything is scheduled for you. Our cloud practice management platform delivers:

•      Compliance workflows so deadlines are never missed 

•      The ability to plan and allocate work for up to 18 months ahead

•      An informed team that knows what needs to be done every day of the year

•      A high-touch service

•      For unlimited clients

•      For unlimited team members

•      A stop on chasing clients 

However, if you want to:

•             Send automated reminders to your Clients 

•             Save Insights into your practice management data for later use

•             Add your saved Insights to your Dashboard as widgets

•             Store documents with your Clients 

•             Create your own Services and Custom Properties

These items of ‘capability’ involve the paid plans and accountants can choose between two options dependent on the size of the practice.  The PAY AS YOU GROW plan or PAYG costs £1 per client per month. This is operated as a rolling monthly contract with monthly payments and it offers 4GB storage per paid for client. 

Alternatively, for the larger practice, there is the 100 plan which involves a 12-month contract payable annually in advance and costs £100 per month or £110 per month if paid monthly. With this plan, there is no limit to the number of clients serviced and it offers 1TB storage across all clients. 

Soon to be released functionality that includes Onboarding, an Inbox and Timesheets will be provided as no-cost extras to the PAYG plan or the 100 plan.

Onkho picks up where others leave off and addresses the challenges faced by today’s busy practices.  It is the brain child of Susan Rahman, who has her own thriving firm in South West London and her business partner, Emanur, who was an accountant at the BBC and a CTO at the London Stock Exchange, to develop the missing technology piece in the practice jigsaw.
