The Practice Excellence Awards 2016: Meet the judges
The awards recognise and celebrate the best in the accounting profession with eight categories that showcase firms and individuals driving standards of excellence ever higher.
This year the judges across all categories include:
Heather Townsend, Professional Services Coach and Author
Heather is an experienced accountancy awards judge and helps accountants, lawyers and consultants become the 'Go-To-Expert'. She is the co-author of 'The Go-To Expert' and 'How to Make Partner and Still have a Life'
John Stokdyk, Editor-in-Chief, AccountingWEB
John has 25 years as a business and technology journalist, edited trade titles and written for The Financial Times, The Daily Telegraph and of course AccountingWEB.
Robert Lovell, Managing Editor, AccountingWEB
Managing Editor for AccountingWEB in the UK, Robert talks to, interviews and writes about issues that matter to the accounting community on a daily basis and is well placed to understand what makes for a successful firm.
Francois Badenhorst, Practice Correspondent. AccountingWEB

Declan Curry - Journalist, broadcaster and public speaker
Declan Curry is one of Britain's best-known business communicators.
He has been a business journalist and broadcaster for more than 20 years. He presented some of the UK's most popular business reports on radio and television, including BBC One's "Breakfast", BBC Two's "Working Lunch" and Radio 5 Live's "On The Money" and "Wake Up To Money".
The closing date for all award entries is 17th of June.
Anonymised versions will then be provided to the judging panel who will discuss the merits of each entry over the following month.
The judges will announce a shortlist in each category on 17 July and the winners will be revealed at a ceremony in London on 20th of October.
Only the judges and those administering the awards programme have sight of each entry, all information in them is kept as confidential.
