Regatta is an outdoor and leisure clothing company and has become a very well-known UK retail brand over the last 42 years. Regatta now exports its wares to more than 55 countries around the world and as a brand is synonymous with the ‘Great Outdoors.’
In order to remain a leader in the ultra-competitive outdoor casual-wear category, Regatta identified that it needed to invest millions in its internal systems.
Over the last 2 years, Regatta has been making substantial investments in technology platforms, with a particular emphasis on Finance and Operations.
Regatta also has a strong desire to set an example as a sustainable and planet-friendly clothing manufacturer. Despite substantial internal changes and the global pandemic, Regatta continually strives to reduce their impact on the world whilst remaining competitive. One of the areas of inefficiency which consumed and produced large quantities of paper was the Finance department, with a particular emphasis on the Accounts Payable function.
As a green retailer, Regatta sought to digitise their payables function by investing in invoice processing technology, thus eliminating the need for paper.
Join us for a live conversation to hear from Regatta’s Head of Group Transactional Services, Colin McDougall, about his experiences of rolling out new technology to his Finance department and the wider business.
