At first glance, it may seem strange to ask where you are on your GDPR journey when enforcement for the regulation commences on the 25th of May, just 9 days away.

If you are ready, congratulations! But you might want to continue reading, just to see if there’s anything else you’ve missed.

It’s hard to get started if you don’t know what your GDPR obligations are. Once you understand what your obligations are, you should implement changes to become compliant and be able to show how you’re complying with the GDPR regulation. If you are audited or experience a breach, you must also provide evidence that demonstrates what steps you have taken to protect the personal data you manage.

While there’s not a lot of time left, you should do as much as possible to put some key policies in place to create a sustainable GDPR program that you can build on. To help, BrightPay will continue to hold webinars to keep you informed and up-to-date on GDPR and related topics.

How can BrightPay Connect help with GDPR?

Under the GDPR legislation, where possible the controller should be able to provide self-service remote access to a secure system which would provide the data subject with direct access to his or her personal data. BrightPay Connect is a self-service option which will give employees online remote access to view their payroll information 24/7.
