While artificial intelligence (AI) loomed large over much of the proceedings, we saw plenty of other tech trends emerge, including a new wave of anti-money laundering tools, a cloud accounting push into the mid-market and new ways of tackling the integration challenge.

Joining AccountingWEB’s technology editor Tom Herbert on the pod to round their accounting tech year was Billie Mcloughlin, tech lead over at 2020 Innovation, and John Toon tech strategy lead for Beever and Struthers.

Billie, John and Tom discussed the impact of AI on accounting tech in 2023, and the opportunities it could bring, what's going on with anti-money laundering technology for accountants, and how the gap between the tech haves and have notes is widening.
