Joining us on the podcast to react to this week's Budget are AccountingWEB’s consulting tax editor Rebecca Cave, and BusinessZone and UK Business Forums editor Chris Goodfellow, Mazars tax partner Eric Williams.

The pod will be reacting the news that unincorporated businesses and landlords with turnovers below the VAT threshold have a year’s grace from the government's flagship Making Tax Digital programme.

Also on the programme panellists will examine the rise in Class 4 national insurance contributions and the cut in the dividend allowance to £2,000, which are set to earn the government a total of £4.6bn over the course of this parliament, and the business rate reliefs put forward by the Chancellor.

Eric Williams will also give his predictions for the tax year ahead, including a look at what Philip Hammond may alter in his Autumn budget.

Apologies all - there seems to be a bit of hiss at the beginning of the podcast. Hope it doesn't affect your pod enjoyment.

All the best,
