Trainee chartered accountants will learn practical skills earlier and there will be less paperwork for their employers under the ICAEW's updated ACA qualification.
The changes to the qualification are partly in response to employers, who told the Institute that some some trainee chartered accountants struggled to deal with tasks such as financial reporting and tax planning, early in their training.
