Some of the UK’s best accountancy firms gathered in London on Thursday evening to learn which of them had won AccountingWEB’s coveted Practice Excellence Awards, presented in association with ACCA and Sage.

In a bumper ceremony hosted by Countdown’s very own number-cruncher Rachel Riley, winners included newcomers to the Practice Excellence scene such as The Accountancy Cloud and Fitzgerald & Law, as well as previous victors including Milsted Langdon and Crunch.

The awards are now in their seventh year, and speaking at the ceremony AccountingWEB global editor John Stokdyk commented: “As a community publisher, the views and experiences of the people on the ground hold real importance for us. The Practice Excellence Awards have now seen hundreds of firms enter and share the secrets to their success with us, and we showcase their best practice for the betterment of the profession as a whole.”

The evening also saw the return of our revamped Software Excellence Awards – with full details of the winners revealed in a companion article

Look out for further coverage in the weeks and months ahead as the winners share the secrets of their success and AccountingWEB presents more detailed findings on trends within the profession.
