This year we have added two new categories (specialist team and national tax practice) to traditional awards slate covering different firm sizes, client service, innovation and growth. And we have updated the entry system to make it easier for you to make your case for recognition in all of these areas.
While the gala ceremony on 19 October will celebrate all of the firms that earn nominations, the collaborative side of the awards continues throughout the year, as winners and innovators share the secrets of their success with AccountingWEB members.
Practice Excellence trends 2013-16
The shifting patterns among the entries tell us what leading firms are doing to improve their client satisfaction levels. This allows AccountingWEB to identify the hot trends and investigate the topics that will interest practitioners and offer practical support to their practice development plans.
During the past four years we have tracked these trends and responded with editorial content covering the five most common initiatives undertaken by Practice Excellence entrants:
Some clear themes have also emerged from the Practice Excellence programme. The evidence presented by our nominees proves that client satisfaction should come first for any practitioner. Year after year, the entrants who get this right continue to grow.
We have also seen that the firms embracing cloud are moving fastest to the trusted advisor model that prioritises higher value business advice over compliance work.
But the awards also confirm that there are many different roads to accounting success, so the principle around which they are based is, “Grow your firm, your way”.
If you want to join this growing community of like-minded practitioners and earn the chance to win plaudits for your excellence, pay a visit to the newly opened 2017 Practice Excellence Awards website.
