Long-time AccountingWEB contributor Simon Hurst has been touring the country extensively for the past two years passing on tips and advice on how to “work harder with Excel 2010”.

We caught up with him at the recent Digita conference in Cirencester for a well polished performance in support of his current best-selling Excel 2010 book, Maximising The Impact Of Accounting & Financial Spreadsheets For Finance Users.

AccountingWEB members will be familiar with most of these tips in from their original, online versions, but nothing can match the asides and quips with which the maestro embellishes his tutorials. For the detailed advice, follow the relevant links below, or log-in to AccountingWEB and read the full article.

  1. Customise the ribbon
  2. Tables
  3. Sparklines
  4. Slicers
  5. PowerPivot

Once he concludes his autumn programme, Simon Hurst will be returning to ExcelZone for a closer look at the latest beta test version of Excel, and further adventures among the spreads.
