We here at Prysm are thrilled that Diversified Communications, one of the worlds' leading exhibition, conference and media companies, have acquired Accountex and will be running the next edition of the show in conjunction with us. This is fantastic news for Accountex and a vital stepping stone in the growth of the show.
I want to assure you that nothing will change in terms of the running of the 2016 show, Scott Hider remains as the show director with Tom King alongside him, we are simply adding the expertise and investment of Diversified to the successful format that PRYSM have developed over the last 4 shows, and this will only act to strengthen the event on a number of levels, which is brilliant news for exhibitors and visitors alike.
Diversified are renowned for delivering high quality visitor content, which sits very closely with the PRYSM philosophy and at the very heart of Accountex. We chose this particular offer very carefully to ensure that Accountex continues to evolve in the right way. They will also bring relevant expertise from their series of US conferences in Accounts Payables, Payments Summits and IOFM markets.

Its great to get any feedback when running a show as large as ours, we want to hear what the visitors experience as this allows us to better shape the future, for example due to feed back the show next May will now be run on a Wednesday and Thursday - this has only been confirmed today so don't call me on the website date change not being amended yet! - you heard it here first!
With reference to your friend that used to work in the exhibition industry I would have to disagree with her comments. Just because a company is selling a service rather than a product or tangible item doesn't mean that face to face does not work, many of our exhibitors cherish the opportunity to engage with their target audience and allow the visitor to ask the questions they need the answers to that can't be asked over the internet. People buy from people and at these events thousands of new supplier/client relationships are born. As great as the internet and videos are, there is still nothing as powerful as looking some one in the eye and shaking their hand. I think the growth of the show over the last three editions and the successful new launch of Legalex next door is testament to that.

We were delighted with the success of this years event and are already busy planning the 2015 show.
We very much appreciate hearing the visitors thoughts, this allows us to shape the event moving forward, for example next year we are running the show on a Wednesday and Thursday rather than Thursday and Friday based on visitor feed back.

Just a quick note to thank you for taking the time to blog about Accountex.
We try very hard to be different and bring way more exciting content to our audience than they are used to at the "normal" events they attend and this seems to be working very well.
Accountex has grown over three editions to be the leading event in the industry across Europe and has been nominated for two awards along the way.
We are not going to slow down and are already planning a bigger and better show for next May.
We are delighted with our new headline media supporter - accountingWeb, and feel that the two products of online and live interaction at the show complements each other extremely well and long may it continue.

Firstly, thank you for speaking at the event and also for posting a great piece about the landcape of cloud within the accounting market. I watch with interest to see what happens.
Feed back from exhibitors and visitors alike has been fantastic and over 50% of the exhibition space for the 2014 event is already sold which is a great indication of the future success of the show.

Why London.....
We always listen to our visitor and exhibitor feedback and took on board comments last year that the November time line was not great due to it being a very busy time for accountants. We since moved the event to June (2014 dates are 29th &30th May) and increase the size and quality of the venue. So far feedback has been great from both exhibitors and visitors commenting that ExCeL is a better venue due to the ease and cost of travel to and from it. We will never please all of the people all of the time but we do our best to represent the interest of the majority. A smaller show in the midlands or catering to the north of the country is not financially viable and would have a negative impact on the growth and development of Accountex which is a UK national event and as such takes place in the capital in one of the best venues in the UK. It also co-locates with The Business Show mentioned above which is also open to Accountex visitors. Although we appreciate that every one wants it close to them, I will go as far as saying some things are worth travelling for! Scott Hider Event Director

We were not told about ACCA holding their exams at the same venue on the same days until a few weeks ago. However we would not of been able to change the date as we hold the show at the same time as The Business Show.
You are welcome to come and visit Accountex before or after your exams. It is taking place directly next door in the next hall.
