Well done everyone involved... delighted to see that some of my favourites got an award. Excellent!

I just tried using your pension and payroll provider comparison website but can't complete my comparison because the payroll software I use isn't listed (BrightPay). Pity!

Great blog @Glennzy.
I thoroughly enjoyed Accountex last year, possibly because it was my first time to attend the show and I had a lot of research to do on software for my new practice. I enjoyed this year but I agree that there wasn't quite the same atmosphere as last year. Cannot really put my finger on why that was.
I very much enjoyed chatting to my software providers. I even threw a few cheekly suggestions their way.
I particularly like Xero's stand, very Apple like. Their team were relaxed and happy to help, as were the BrightPay team who I wanted to congratulate on their incredible software and support. I still cannot quite believe what I get for £199 a year.
Will I go next year? Yes I think so.

So far so good!
I've been using BrightPay for a few months now and so far it has exceeded my expectation. Fingers crossed that continues to be the case.
Very relieved to have the payroll part of AE sorted. Still work to be done on everything else.

I would agree with NYB, your payroll software is key. I spent a lot of time testing several payroll packages and finally settled on BrightPay because I found its Auto Enrolment capabilities far superior to its competitors. Very sad I know but I am quite looking forward to my clients' staging over the coming months. I am hoping everything will go smoothly.
Change can be unsettling but sometimes its worth shopping around. Most payroll packages on the market have an option to import data from other software providers.
Best of luck!

It takes extraordinary dedication and sacrifice to get to the position Murray finds himself in currently. He absolutely deserves 'Personality of the Year'! Big Murray fan.

It will get better!
I worked in a similar environment many years ago and whilst it can be difficult, you will get used to it and learn to switch off.. Good luck!

Due to work commitments, sometimes there is no choice but to live in Greater London. I am very glad Mr Osbourne is trying to do something..
