if in doubt
What I do for new clients if in doubt before authorisation is in place is call the agent helpline when client is with me to give tel authorisation, then you can ask HMRC when client last filed and the amount showing as owed/outstanding on their records

Hi thanks yes thats what I found. I was uncertain if there was other penalties, so for example if a plasterer did not register but in the tax year made payments the potential penalties are £300 or 5% and can be a max of £3000. Ive found I keep telling clients to register but they are not doing so I want to make sure I have covered myself.

What do you intend to offer by way of services?
Just check acca handbook this gives rules of what's allowed mainly bookkeeping vat
Payroll etc. A bsc Hons makes no difference you need to be either a member of a reg body or register with hmrc for money laundering. All the best with it.

the directors own tax
The director has failed to file any of his own personal tax returns going back 4 years and he drew a salary for three years but dividends one year. I think they have never filed any documents for the co and he has no records apart from his personal bank statements
