Interetsing - this was partially why I asked. I use Taxcalc for my CT for other clients. Most are small so the full tax returns rarely get used. I need a return where I can drop in reports from my dynamics and attach them so that we have the workings.
With the final accounts we need to be able to drop our TB's from Dynamics into a format which can then produce our statutory accounts and tag them. We have to have the facility to add notes ( quite complex ones ). My impression was that Taxcalc isn't quite completed. I have been with them for years when I had my practice. As a tax manager in industry it doesn't work.
We have accounting software we are on Microsoft dynamics BUT the reporting team produce the accounts on word and I have inherited the tax on excel. I like to streamline my life so now that my role is tax only I am taking the excel model in hand but helping a colleague at the same time.
Specific question re child care to cover illness. I can accept t
If the question had been simply asking had I got cover for illness I would of had chance to set his mind at rest. Unfortunately, he question was not a specific one.
What makes you think I don't have that knowledge as well. I appreciate there is a difference I have been teaching my 12 year old her maths for some time now.
I agree and crowd control should also be included in the PGCE !
For anyone else who is sees this question here is an update
Armed with the knowledge I have a MA I went back to the TDA. They say that this is too narrow and I need a BA as well. I have pointed out that had I been part qualified up to a level set by the ACCA They would be happy to give me a letter to say I had a BA equivalent. They STILL won't accept it.
In the interests of helping others I will get to the bottom of this.
Oh and while I was waiting for the TDA to reply i was marking my 6 year olds maths home work !
Thank you for the suggestion re the ACCA, I have just phoned them and had a very interesting chat. They can issue a letter stating that the ACCA qualification is the equivalent of a masters degree. This has been fully checked out by the system. I will await the response from the TDA.
My AAT experience was in an FE College and the complete chaos that existed there didn't inspire me. What I would like to do is to be able to help children enjoy maths long before they get to A level. Some perfectly good kids will never do maths because their teacher isn't that passionate about it. The worrying thing is that my 6 year old can potentially be taught by someone who only has an O'level in maths.
Many thanks for you reply. I might have to bite the bullet if i want to achieve my ultimate aim.
Music festival Many thanks Fraser for your reply. I'll go and do some more digging now that I have some guidelines.
I had a feeling we had a period of time after the yearend to give the funds away. When you say that payment must be in cash are we actually talking notes & coin or are chq's covered under this definition?
I had a discussion with the director dealing with the finances about charitable registration. It took them long enough to get a bank account set up so I suspect that didn't get much further.
Thank you for your replies Just to update you and thank you for your replies. I had a long chat with the client. The builders info was misleading. It turns out that the only structural work was to take a stud wall down and put another one up.
Some of the painting and plastering was to repair a damp patch and the new flooring was to replace existing flooring which had become impossible to clean and was becoming a health and safety issue. The main problem will be working out the split here.
I am still cross with the revenue who have just closed the enquiry without further discussion but the appeal has now been sent in.
