I do! Aged 60 with £500k, in the bank, is enough to retire on (or at least take life at a slower speed).

Many thanks for the response.
There were signed contracts with both agents, but agent 2 was, I understood, to be related to another employee we hired from them. Thankfully, we have timeline emails that establish Agent 1 introduced first

My schoolboy wish was to be a pilot for a commercial airline. BA most likely. That said, I only wished i started my accountancy business sooner

I'm inclined to agree with cheekychappy. There may be issues here for him/her and ACCA. There may be legal issues if they had a contract with you including restrictions on their activities after leaving your employment. There may be other issues we're not aware of.
But pursuing any or all of these is likely to be time-consuming, draining, and ultimately a waste of time. Concentrate on keeping the clients you have and promoting yourself to new ones. In a very short time this will all seem very unimportant.
Thanks for all the input
I agree - life moves on and I'm not going to spend any unproductive time (or money) on this.
It was more a question of a reconciliation between the testimonials that stem from a team-working practice (and therefore the ex-employee has a perceived quality of work that is enhanced by the team) to them working on their own with reduced resources and possibly reduced technically knowledge.
But, as we all say - move on

Bag of receipts representing expenses for the year, awash with ammonia! I was working from home then and each receipt had to be pealed, gingerly separated and left to dry over the hot water tank.

wants to clear the balance
I think he wants to clear the balance off the balance sheet. And, being a major share holder in Company B, I don't think
he will lose out.
