I don't care about HMRC's problems, if they are charging interest on money properly due to them. If they were prepared to give a binding undertaking that nothing would be charged until they had given me a figure, all well and good. Otherwise I'd pay them the money I thought was due and let them deal with it! They'll be having many more disgruntled "customers" like me over a period of time.

The trouble with MTD is that it is not being introduced by government, but by a government agency (HMRC) which is unaccountable to the public.

I had VOIP for a few years, until Orange discontinued its supply - and when this happened there was no way for me to keep my existing phone number.

With respect, anyone who relies on an online "dictionary" deserves others to think of her as whatever they do think. Disinterested (in this country) means impartial. It does not, under any circumstances, mean the same as uninterested (ie not engaged).
