I have a few very rural self employed clients who do not "do" computers, smart phones or emails. It will be interesting to see whether they get to speak to an actual person when they call HMRC on the telephone-based SEISS grant application service to make their claims. I think it's more likely to be an automated service and I can see a few telephones being thrown out of windows.

No success with third party software either
According to HMRC's service availability notice:-
"If you use commercial software you will experience a delay in receiving your response acceptance/rejection response to your submissions."
I've just tried submitting a return for the past hour without any success!
