Near the end of the list: "Heidi Marie Kirkby. HMRC’s wellbeing coordinator. Receives OBE for services to mental health.". What the hell is a wellbeing coordinator? Why do HMRC need one? She has not made me or my clients happy about the levels of tax we pay or the troubles we have calculating it. Or, is she supposed to make HMRC staff happy? I have not met one recently.

I agree. Baah! Humbug!

I understand that Abbeytax have made representations about the changes. Hopefully, they will be taken account of.

Should we rewrite the Articles so that Alphabet (ordinary) shares now become entitled to at least 5% of distributable profits?

"Institute" should be replaced with "Association"

Didn't understand a word of it! Buzzwords, buzzwords and yet more buzzwords (e.g. "deep connections" +"permissioning")

How I agree with you! Not only very slow broadband speeds in rural areas but also little or no mobile signal (whither 2sv?). There need to be much more investment by OpenReach (from the Govt) before MTD has a chance of succeeding. Maybe, there should be another "excuse", or reasonable excuse expanded for those that just cannot comply due to very poor internet facilities (even micro wave broadband doesn't work then it rains!)

My download is 1mps and upload 0.6mps. 3 miles from nearest Open Reach cabinet (in Cumbria). Microwave broadband is unreliable (due to rain and mist!). Mobiles don't work well either.
MTD be almost impossible until Government (and HMRC) realises that we not all well connected.
