I've not been on this site for probably a couple of years....and my my... how its changed for the worse.
Its seems to be full of patronising whose answer to everything is 'why don't you pay an accountant for a proper answer rather than bothering us important people [who are so busy successful that we spend our time trawling this forum looking to tell people to pay for an accountant]]...
This place was once a fantastic resource, sadly no more...
As the OP I ask the question for a variety of reasons...
I just had the thought and wanted to test the water as it were
because there may well be something that makes it a complete non-starter from the get-go....eg enough people say 'it's illegal, then its fairly likely it's illegal'...
I am asking to get a feel and see if it actually is worth taking to my accountant...plus another reason for asking is the immediacy of the reply...we all like instant gratification...plus I ahve a feeling my accountant is rather too busy for the next few days to chat to me..
I know there was a movement [PR stunt to some extent really] whereby a village was setting up some IP and then looking for all the local shops to shift their profits offshore [just like Amazon etc]....
It got some good coverage on BBC but ultimately ran out os steam and not sure how far they got with it...
How about not using journalistic claptrap as evidence of aggressive avoidance, and wait until the courts have had a say.
Er if that's directed at me....then I'd say that its evidently not 'claptrap' and secondly it'll be years before the courts are finished having their say.
I'm simply looking for something that puts me and my £70k annual consultancy income [that I don't need to touch atm ] on the same standing as the big boys in the paradise papers...

Bought for £400k
Now worth say £420
Easement brings in £40
40/(40+420) = 8.7%
8.7% of original purchase cost [8.7% of £400]= £33.8
So net capital gain is only £40 -£33.8 = £6.2k
Or am I doing it wrong??
What more information do you need/want??
The money is for creating a NEW easement across a bit of our land [the easement is across a small area that is less than 1% of the total area.]
In addition: House jointly owned so presume we have two lots of CGT relief available??
Apologies for any offence caused.
And thank you to the poster that I didn't notice before commenting again!!
ANy chance of a answer from someone??
I wouldn't be letting the 'fake' directors anywhere near the bank account.....
I'll just buy a bank account off ebay and away we go!!!!
After much feedback I have a plan in place...
Limited company
Throwaway directors [from Africa somewhere]
Get as much income in cash as possible
Take all the money out of the bank
Let the company die
Job done.
