Well, do they want to ruled by unelected people in Brussels, rather than a government that they share and are arguably over-represented in? You need to answer this Isla.
Hi Sarah, the Scottish First Minister's continual droning about independence makes me wonder if there shouldn't be a referendum in England, Wales and NI to see if we actually want to continue to subsidise people who do nothing but criticise us. The UK working together is very capable of having a great economy that can meet the needs of all its citizens without help from, but trading with, other nations like those across the water on the European mainland; Scotland however, cannot go it alone and I doubt that the EU will want to add to its financial woes. Why can't we just be mates and get on with it?
Perhaps if you'd got off your backside and campaigned for 17 years as Farage did you would be able to make a better contribution to this conversation. Scotland are still with us last time I checked - do you think Germany will pick up the subsidy bill? Oh, the elected government is still in power too, or did I miss something? I haven't seen the news today I must admit!
Hi Comptable, that is the problem with democracy- sometimes you don't get the result you want! My vote is worth the same as yours sunshine and if I go before you I can go in the knowledge that I did my democratic duty which ever way I voted. Study well, learn to write properly and you won't have to use asterisks instead of words. And if you really don't like democracy, try China or Russia or anywhere but here!
I'm sorry to hear that. Please don't listen to a few sad people who would be bitter and twisted whatever happened. We've always had an open door to Ireland and I hope that doesn't change. Half my neighbours are Irish - who will I drink with if they go back? Come and live in my street!

In a completely unscientific observation, I saw people going about their normal business today; what's going on? We should be told!
