Non technical response to this.
Motor expenses divide into private, commute and business.
Home to regular place of work is commute and not allowed for tax.

The UTR for the deceased remains the same. But on death your status as agent is cancelled.
You need to re-apply for agents status with the Personal Representative or Executor as the person authorising it. That will allow you to deal with the tax return(s) up to date of death.
If the estate is of some value and earning rents, dividends and interest there may be a need for the trust to have a UTR.

I can understand that bonus's might be paid based on gross profit or net profit but why Net Trading assets?

Failed in attempt to 'cancel registration' made in error. Can only de-register so VAT has to be accounted for from 1st August registration until de-registration processed by HMRC.
Have to wait 25 minutes each time I phoned to talk to any one.
Got chap with strong foreign accent which did not help me at all as my hearing is not to good.
Took a lot of effort to get him to understand that I wanted to know if possible to treat if registration never took place.
I still do not know if it would be possible. I think I got the same chap three times.

Unfortunately I was the culprit.
No returns yet submitted.
Wish me luck.

In the past when deleting a client on line I found HMRC did not remove me from their data base. The deletion stopped me being able to access the client on line but at a later date I would received copies of tax calculations relating to adjustments made under PAYE.
I write to HMRC to get clients deleted and check to see when I can no longer access them on line.

I know HMRC like the phrase Self Assessment but this does not mean any body can do accounts and tax returns by themselves.
Get yourself a qualified accountant.

Does this individual realise that every times he pays someone with an old fashion cheque he gives the bank details to that person! Basically sort code and account number are not private.

Sole trader has UTR for completing SA100
Partnership has UTR for completing SA800
So should not be possible to have same UTR

The many reports remind me of the early days of accounting software (over 30 years ago) when the software writers had insufficient guidance and would set up a sales ledger within the system with no ability to pay a refund.
The reports I am reading indicate much of the information cannot be seen by us and functions we need are not there.
