Thank you. Re FRS 105 - initially simplicity and no revaluation however draft accounts now prepared which show BS total in excess of micro limit so FRS102 it is!
Try Hallmaster - for village hall lettings but may be adaptable. https://www.hallmaster.co.uk
I used it for 3 years for a village hall - it has a few quirks but is easy once you have mastered it; also many ongoing improvements that add to its usability.
I run my whole practice on a Mac. I use Parallels for Sage and Quickbooks, excel & word for Mac and all tax and accounting software in the Cloud. All works perfectly.
The only thing to be aware of is that the latest Sage is RAM hungry. In order to instal the 2015 version of Sage, I had to upgrade to 16mb (previously 4mb). This is now adequate for Parallels and Sage. The latest Parallels is fast and easy. You can work on the Mac side and just dip into Parallels when needed - you can have a Sage icon open in the bottom bar of the Mac. You can print to pdf in the Mac desktop which makes saving pdf reports quick and simple.
Support can be problematic as Sage will not support Parallels and generally Mac will not support Sage. I have taken my laptop into a Apple genius bar and they have assisted with Parallels - beyond that you should not have too much of a problem.
As far as transfer is concerned, take a backup under Windows in the PC and simply restore in Parallels or vice versa.
I started trading last year and work with Cloud software. Iris do OpenCloud for personal tax and CT - cost is based on the number of clients; their Cloud accounts production is being developed - in the meantime I am using an automated spreadsheet; OpenAudit for all audits including specialist. Payroo (not Iris) payroll software is free up to 9 clients and nine employees and works perfectly for me.
Bookkeeping software - you may need to run with the crowd as I have clients who do their own bookkeeping and send backups for me to prepare the annual accounts etc. I have Sage and QuickBooks.

Thank you Moonbeam - couldn't have managed without your instructions, and even then, I struggled!
