Confidence will soar?? A near bankrupt country that has cut ties with its largest market??? The decision to leave the EU was only for 3 good reasons: 1) Stupidity, 2) Ignorance, & 3) Both combined. Add to this the coronavirus hit and it makes 20 years of economic misery so likely that the word "certain" seem inevitable. Not sure what mind-bender you're taking but lots of use would like to try it too please.

I know many NHS consultants, and fear that the picture is worse than painted. The NHS has existed for many years on "goodwill" from employees doing more than they are paid for. Now they are taxed viciously on their goodwill, there is no motivation for their altruism, and we are facing a perfect storm of 1) Declining to do extra non-contractual sessions to maintain unrealistic political (waiting list) targets; 2) Early retirement as soon as full pension life-time entitlement achieved; private practice much more relaxed and easily as lucrative for most, together with losing micro-management by NHS managers who are usually less qualified to know what patients actually need and just create stress (some for salaries that dwarf the Prime Minister's!); and the current NHS Elephant in the Room: 3) BREXIT making our country appear unwelcoming to EU (and non-EU!) personnel leaving us with 1 in 10 doctors posts unfilled and 1 in 8 nursing and midwifery posts vacant. Well done!!!
Options: 1) Go back to paper to make copying large volumes more difficult; 2) Take USB ports off all corporate computers; 3) Make systems so that only FD can copy any data; 4) Insure; 5) Give up and go home and let the business die: is that really what the regulators want? We fund them and running us into shutting our businesses will inflict a tax-take own-goal!
Reminds me of the question: Why is it called "common sense"? Answer: because it isn't common...
If its to educate them of the catastrophe of "no deal" BREXIT, then definitely!
If its to educate them of the value of the EU for a People's Vote, then definitely!!
There comes a time to stand up and be counted, or become an actuary....

Oh the puns....
Yep, I'd be happy to train her! ;)

You have to laugh! My late father's favourite aphorism seems apposite: "Never underestimate the power of human stupidity".

Sadly one can almost define the UK with following six words "How cheap can we do it?".
Unless you sell expertise i.e. novel solutions and not just "work" expect clients to look for cheapest deal. Sorry; I know that the truth hurts.
