I think a group of perpetual licence holders should get together and issue an injunction against Sage preventing them from switching off, if Sage do not act voluntarily. Also a call to Trading Standards could add pressure, but relief from that source may come too late.
Added to this is the decision by Sage to stop all desktop Sage Cloud bookkeeping products, and move entirely to the cloud. Apparently this will happen over the next couple of years. I have heard nothing further about how data will be converted, functionality of the cloud system etc. Has anyone else any updates on this development.
There is going to be one heck of a lot of fraud here. For example, many businesses will be claiming furlough, even though their employees are still working, albeit from home. I know of one accountancy firm who is doing it (washes mouth out with soap and water!).
I have been told that if you have not started the MTD registration for yourself as agent, then you can continue to file under the old system. This is due to the lengthy delays in getting AML compliance.
The biggest problem for very small businesses is the possibility of reduction in the employment allowance (or abolition if Corbyn becomes PM). Interest rates for very small businesses are minor in relation to the totality of expenses.

It was a verbal communication from my account manager.

I was told this by my Sage account manager.
So how do we get these letters when they will go to the office, but I am working from home, and cannot collect the post.

Merlin is pretty good but tie them down on training.
I have used Sage Payroll for years and wouldn't use anything else. It does everything I want. Why use anything else?
