Yes they issued a bill for the underpayment and the payroll lady didn’t look into it and just paid it.
Now I am looking at everything that was done in my absence and can see it’s because she hasn’t filed the eps
Thank you for all your responses. The guidance I read did state the cost incurred such as food, drink and entertainment are exempt from tax.
The entertainment is simple to arrange. The guidance however didn’t state whether it was to be hampers or the provision of costs per head would have sufficed to distribute in advance.

If you have recently changed your job it can take time for them to catch up with you.
What I would suggest is getting in touch with the student loan company as no one else will be able to answer your question, not even your employer
