As pointed out by thacca the client may well be a deemed contractor in which case CIS may well apply.
Is your client making an onward supply?
If not and they are indeed the end user then I agree that VAT should be charged as normal and CIS is not necessary as the client is no longer a contractor.
If I remember correctly, before I migrated to Iris Elements, which I must say went without any problem nor have I had any since, I was told that I can continue to use Taxfiler but I would not be able to submit any tax returns or Company accounts to CH, which made staying pretty pointless.

You should be able to put in the verification code manually and adjust the status to 20%

I do believe AIA is also allowable for a Tablet!
How can you not verify someone?
Surely you get a result whether it be 20%, 30% or Gross! Might not be the result you want but still verified.
