I tried pulling through client authorisations from the old Agent Online Service but this didn't make any difference. So for the time being it looks like you'll have to request access one client at a time.
Interestingly, the link that you send to the client doesn't change each time you make a new request - even to a different client. So I am not sure if you could just send the link to all your clients and let them sign in with GG etc rather than us having to enter NINO and DOB details on the Agent Services dashboard for hundreds of clients!
We have never seen any names appear in the bank statement line narrative since we started in 2005. We only handle SA refunds. It does take time to work out who it belongs to, which is why we wait until we have the letter from HMRC which provides the client's UTR and then match the amount.
Thank you Paul. This is the best calculator I have seen yet!
I wasn't able to convert it for use in a weekly payroll scheme. Do you have another version for weekly payroll which operates in a similar way? I would be eternally grateful!
spoke to hmrc at around 12 today regarding same issue. newly registered vat client effective 01/10/18. need to submit 1 month vat return, filing deadline 07/12/18.
submitted authentication code this monday, assigned the client to our users in the 'new' normal way (cant do it through the old gateway). client still hasn't appeared on the list of vat clients.
but when i download a csv list of all clients, the client is included in the list.
hmrc said it's national issue since last week.
regarding the vat return, they said if it cannot be submitted tomorrow and any penalties arise, we can simply appeal them (!)
they also advised to log a query from the normal 'agent login' page, by filing in the form at the bottom of the page at the link named 'get help with this page'. i did this and they said they will get back to me in 2 working days
have you checked your date and time settings on the computer after the daylight savings change recently? some websites check their server time stamp and compare it to what your computer is showing. if different, the security on their end may kick up a fuss.
Paul, I hope I'm not missing something here! as i mentioned i am new to iris, but i dont think the practice management (PM) tool goes as far as sending email reminders automatically. perhaps you are able to do some data-mining within PM to find clients that meet certain requirements (e.g. accounts due within x days) and then log a request to print an automail letter for this list of clients. but this still feels like a manual task.
it looks as though the CRM module covers these requirements.
i have exchanged emails with someone in IRIS that said some of the features i mentioned are being looked at and will come in a later release...but its not likely to come any time soon. my guess is that they are currently busy with MTD...
I have managed to get Microsoft Flow to 'retrieve' the pre-defined views that Iris have created within the SQL database. it seems that you can enter the view name e.g. 'practice.ibvJobInstanceWithCats' as a custom table name, rather than being able to select it as a table. this somehow manages to trick Flow into reading the information held in a view.
the trouble i am having now is creating a series of filters on Flow to give me what i want e.g. all LTD company accounts with a statutory deadline within 30 days.
i'm chuffed that i have reached this point (!) and that it is possible to access the 'views'. i'm sure what i want to achieve is tantalizingly close....

Not ideal.

Kind regards and stay safe.

hi there,
have you checked your date and time settings on the computer after the daylight savings change recently? some websites check their server time stamp and compare it to what your computer is showing. if different, the security on their end may kick up a fuss.
hope this helps!
