My question is: Is there any legislation etc. that I'm unaware of that requires non-chartered accountants like us to open a client bank account if we were to handle a client's money for paying NEST.
All the guidance I have seen requiring a client account relates to ICAEW members, - is there any legal requirement for non-chartered accountants to open a client account other than it being good practice?
