If its an existing client there shouldn't be an additional charge; should be part of their retainer/monthly fee.
The Sage tool isn’t flexible enough. They would need to do sub-consolidations and drill down on the data.
Yes, but I want to avoid the problems associated with using Excel.
Agreed, VT Transaction is ideal for this.
Another vote for VT Transaction+. Take the 'poor' spreadsheet and enter the figures into VT and you'll have the accounts done for the year end as well. Their software will have a MTD compatible link by July they have said.
Still the best desktop bookkeeping software.
Glad to hear today that Sage has backed down and agreed to allow the cancellation so just used Movemybooks to create the client's new account in Xero with the last two years' transactions migrated.
Thanks for all your comments.
Take a look at https://mybookkeepingbusiness.co.uk. We have start-up and coaching plans for people who want to start a bookkeeping business. We don't teach bookkeeping - we assume you know that - but everything else you need to set up and run a successful business including all the compliance headaches, marketing and pricing your services. Good luck.
VT Transaction+ is the ideal solution for this. Inexpensive, easy to use and with an MTD link for filing VAT returns.
Take another example. An investor takes advantage of insider information and makes a gain on trading shares in the company. Is this reportable for AML purposes?
