I have used both, but my preference is Bright Pay. Their AE is easy to set up and notifies you throughout of employer duties. I moved from Money soft as Bright Pay seemed to support more pension providers at the time. This was over 12 months ago now though, so Money soft may have moved on since then.

Another vote for the ix500. So easy and quick to use for all types of paperwork. Just beware of staples when going through the rollers.

Thanks - my thoughts exactly. I'll put it to him again and see what he comes up with. Yes he's Vat registered for the Ltd company, but not the sole trader as far as I'm aware. He deals with the soletrader accounts himself, along with payroll,Vat for the Ltd company and self assessment. This is my first year with him, so we'll see how it goes.

I've used Andica for self assessments and partnership returns, but not for corporation tax. I find Taxfiler much better though and the tax form created are much more professional. Also, because you pay one price, but that includes all the different tax forms, it works out cheaper than Andica.

I've been using Taxfiler for 15months now. Along with VT, they are both easy to use and good value for money. A definate vote for both

Taxfiler is so easy to use. I have been using it for 15 months now and have used it for self assessments, corporation tax and partnership returns. It has cut my submission time down substantially. I have no complaints and the price is really good. I haven't tried the accounts production as I use VT and am really happy with it. Again attaching the accounts to taxfiler takes seconds. Nothing at all to complain about. They also offer a free demo period, or did when I started, so you've got nothing to use by trying it out.

I use Brightpay and am really happy with it. Its not Cloud at the moment, but I know that this is something that they are working on and hoping to offer it in the future.

I moved to Brightpay from Moneysoft, because of the AE options they are offering. I am really happy with it. Easy to use and good support. Haven't had any problems so far and at £199 a year for a bureau license, it's very economical.

Many thanks. That's what I thought, but just wanted to double check, as I think entrepreneurs relief will be one of the things addressed in the upcoming budget.

I've had this happen to me and ended up sending the paper form in. All of the information was correct, the client even had a copy of his UTR sent and all the information on this was exactly the same. It was resolved, but never got to the bottom of what the problem was.
