New PCTry this spec:HP DC7800 CMT 1GB Memory Upgrade Dual Head Graphics Card 11109-24-20R Sapphire 2400 HP L1750 Height adjustable Monitor x2DVI-I cable
The DC7800 comes with IGB memory as standard and modern business machines should have 2GB; runs Vista very well but if you already have a licence for XPPro as long as you don't use that computer then you should be able to use that licence.Use dual screens - hence the dual head graphics card upgrade and cable - this is a much more effective way of working and once you are used to it - the above should not cost you more than £900 and HP machines are probably the best in market for business use.Incidentally, I use Vista and think it's the best thing since sliced bread!
It's not just the Enquiries .........I'm amazed that people are still in business having read what has so far been written in this article. What about a seminar for businesses to put their point of view? Even if it gets me nowhere the opportunity of having a word with an Inspector is very appealing. I spend about 20% of my very valuable time dealing with spurious tax enquiries from our local Revenue office because they can't read P46 Car forms properly, because they've lost the P45's sent to them electronically, because they've lost (for the second year running) my electronic year end submission, because I couldn't submit it in the first place because they broke their website and didn't think about the consequences before making changes, because of the 42 staff I have 20 have company vehicles and the Revenue have not yet got one tax code right first time, because, because because - the list is endless. The Revenue should be directly accountable, and if they were then these time wasting exercises would be reduced dramatically. I would love to bill them for my time - but they wouldn't pay because they don't have to worry. Well, I think they should because they directly affect the pockets of my staff when they get it wrong, and those staff come to me expecting me to put it right - and I have to tell them that I can't - that it's the Revenue. Again.
