Thanks for all the replies -
The Employee advised of the delay.
The compensation was claimed by the Company - original travel was booked with EasyJet via a company log on/account - hence the claim could only be made by the Company or this was as employee had advised and we understood; perhaps incorrectlty.
It's not a case of not paying the employee either the compensation or a an allowance for the 5 hours.
To elaborate - the assumption was the Company having claimed the compensation retains this. We should compneate the employee 5 hours overtime for their delay/woes - alebit via payroll.
Is there a had a fast rule or just a value call to be made for the business and to do right by the employee?
Thanks much again and in advance
Many thanks for your replies folks.
