Slightly off the point but does anyone know what happens if a £10k turnover client who registers for MTD becomes a client with turnover below £10k ? I am thinking particularly of actors, singers, entertainers etc. who can be self employed in one year & then employed the next & sometimes both in one year with fluctuations in income between each source. Do you dip in & out of MTD or is it onc3 you are in you are in ?
I had thought that HMRC would be providing free software to support MTD for smaller businesses. Is this true & if so, is there any news on timing of this ? Thanks. Clive

Presumably the £10000 turnover limit for avoiding MTD is still the same ?
