' Dear ........,
The link sent by you is of the year 2020 and just to inform you that Penny has left the team.
We have the same issue on IRIS Elements Tax & Accounts as well.'
'Thank you for contacting Taxfiler by IRIS.
Our back-end team have been having a look at this and believe that this is happening (but no guarantee) because the RIM artefacts from HMRC still need updating. So, the computation etc., and values are showing correct.
This has already been raised with our technical and product team to review, test & fix.
Just to let you know that this might take some time to investigate and fix.
If you need to submit the tax return urgently, please contact HMRC and see if there is a way to submit the return by a paper filing.
Any software updates/releases/bug fixes will be announced via the bell sign above the help icon(?) on the right of your Taxfiler screen so please keep an eye out for this update in there.
For further details or information please use our Help program which can be accessed by clicking on the ? icon near the top right of the Taxfiler by IRIS screen. Alternatively, email the Support team with further queries.
A while ago, we purchased some equipment of approx value of £600. We provided our uk vat number to the EU seller and all was shipped through ups. We were expecting a vat bill passed on by ups but nothing like that happened.
Worth noting that they will also do a credit check for you to assess if you're not overcommitted and do align your credit account history to the statements.
When starting in 2018, we have waited 5 months and it was due to the fit and proper test and other mlr checks.
These days, with Torries cuts, only can get worse ...
Only special delivery is guaranteed and can always be tracked online. It requires an actual signature unlike signed for, which quite often is 'signed' by the postman.
Also , 31st being Thursday. If item is posted after 3pm then it would be classed as posted on 1st. Sat/sun don't count so 4th would be the first available date for the scanning system at HMRC.
Applying for recovery loan scheme? It seems to be impossible to pass high street banks criteria.
Our client is going now through the asset finance rather than actual loan even though their credit rating is good and Co is profitable and they have genuine good business case. Rejected twice so far...
Really basic stuff here not sure how someone can be a senior without knowing the basics. Good bookkeeper / payroll manager knows this, let alone someone that works in the public practice.

Might have just been lucky.
Also not much experience in import from EU.

The financial checks, I'd say, are very thorough.
Gamblers no need to apply:)

Reported this issue to them a month ago. They had some risky suggestion (archive the clients, delete them and restore).
Still no fix. It's a random thing as well, does not happen to all of the clients. Suggestion is to double check the notes before submitting to CH.
Good news is that once you lock ct600 HMRC accounts don't change.
We had couple that were e-signed using signable and they gone through without an issue.

For mileage allowance claimed, vat on 1 mile is about 2p-3p (fuel element , 1/6th).
Fuel scale works in a different way. Claim input but charge outputs based on co2.
Not enough info to give definitive advice here. Sounds like sole trader wanting to claim vat on fuel but can't be too sure.
